Addisababa Ethiopia

Koye is a miniature city that will devour land everywhere in the Ethiopian capital. With the growing population of Addis Ababa and the rapid expansion of the capital, the future plans for Addis Ababa begin to plan for a future beyond the capital.

Following the example of modernist settlements in the West, and especially in post-war East Germany, the condominium in Addis Ababa symbolizes a new approach to managing the country's relentless urban growth. This is probably the first of a series of new urban projects that successive Ethiopian regimes have used and that could soon lay the foundation for the future development of the capital and its suburbs.

When Menelik II became Emperor of Ethiopia in 1889, the name was changed to Addis Ababa and became Ethiopia's capital. The EPRDF declared that it was the federal capital of Ethiopia in 1995 and that the city had an elected council and governor.

British army and Ethiopian patriots defeated Italian army in East Africa campaign in Ethiopia. After the defeat, Haile Selassie, who was emperor until the 1930s, returned to Addis Ababa and began to rebuild his rule. In 1917, Menelik II, son of the former Emperor Ras Khalil II, became the first Prime Minister of Ethiopia and later Emperor of Eritrea.

Over the next twenty years, Addis Ababa continued its modernization, attracting foreign investors, traders and Ethiopians. Since becoming the capital of Ethiopia, it has grown in leaps and bounds, assuming the character of a boomtown and being a center of higher education.

It is widely believed that the first people came from the Rift Valley, which runs through Ethiopia. Ethiopia is one of only two African countries, along with Eritrea, that have not been colonised. Italian Occupation 1936 - 1941 Ethiopia was one of two countries on the African continent that had never been colonists before. Nevertheless, it has behaved as an independent nation with different languages, cultures and cuisines, which are largely preserved today.

It can be a ghost - an incredibly diverse country for linguists with more than 80 dialects - but Amharic is best used in Addis Ababa.

Addis Ababa is also the cultural centre of Ethiopia, with several important museums. Ethiopian feast followed by a few shots of incredible coffee, the real joy of AddisAbaba sitting in the café - the best coffee you will ever have in your life, that's one of the things that keep you busy and satisfied in Addes Ababe! Ethiopian cuisine and almost all ethnic groups are represented, so it is a great place to explore.

In keeping with the theme of wildlife, the best day trip in Addis Ababa, which should not be missed when visiting Ethiopia, is the Awash National Park. Tiya Stelae Field is last on our list of day trips when it comes to the best things to do in the area. Ababa Ethiopia. Hopefully these 15 good things you can do in and around addes Ababe Ethiopia will show you how much there is to do in the city and convince you to give this fascinating and lively capital at least a few days on your itinerary. Have a look at our guide to the beginning and end of Addises Abba and in some cases the end.

The Museum of the Martyrs of Red Terror is also located here, and it is one of the best places to visit in Addis Ababa Ethiopia.

The Africa Hall is located on Menelik II Avenue near the palace and is the seat of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. The museum will first introduce the most important tribes of Ethiopia and will focus on the history and importance of coffee in Ethiopian culture. Then there's the Museum of Red Terror and the best thing to do in Addis Ababa, the World Trade Center.

The city is home to one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the world, the Ethiopian Orthodox Cathedral. Back at the cathedral there is a museum where you can see the incredibly well preserved Amharic Bibles and religious writings.

The Cathedral of the Holy Trinity is located opposite the chic shopping mall, where the Ethiopian Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit, the largest church in the world, stands. After the Holy Trinity Cathedral, you can visit St. George's Cathedral, the most famous cathedral in Addis Ababa.

While we are talking about day trips, there is no doubt that one of the best things to do in Addis Ababa is to visit the Museum of the Memorial of the Martyrs of Red Terror. Ethiopia's development and how far it wants to go is shown by the Entoto Mountain, which offers a magnificent panorama of Addes. As you walk through the city, the Addis Mercato is the most popular shopping mall in the city and the largest in Ethiopia. It is crowded, but if you are after a day trip, it is worth visiting Ethiopia at the Museum of the Martyrs "Remembrance of Red Terror. One of my 15 most important things I did in addis ababa was to visit the Entotos Mountain (also called "Entoto Hill"), the highest mountain in Africa.
